Does Anybody Know Anything About This Watch?

Appears to be a Waltham diver chrono from the 1960's. Did you know a similar Waltham is believed to have gone to the moon on the Apollo XV mission on the arm of astronaut David Scott. It could quite possibly have a Valjoux 7736 movement in it. Unfortunately, Walthams did not have the haute horology cache and are not worth much on the antique vintage market, the company going out of business probably mid-1960's. Any new Waltham you see today is not from the original company and are usually quartz. I'd guess this watch would be worth about $100 - $200 at the most on the ebay open market. Non-chrono Waltham divers of this era sell for $70. Edit: I did locate this same watch that sold for $400 from an antique dealer.

Good looking watch, with a bit of "vintage Breitling" style.. :)

I have been wondering if it is possible to use the movement from these cheap sub-100 USD vintage chronos to make a decent replica of the Heuer Monaco. It also have subdials @3 and 9 , and date @6.. Any thoughts on that? (Of course it is a shame to cannibalize a nice watch, but..)
