lhooq Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Link This looks... odd. Parts of it look right, but other bits seem off while also reminding me of questionable 1016 dials I've seen before. (Specifically, the crooked text on the upper half.) Thoughts?
panerai153 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 I believe this is and el fakaroonie!! The numbers don't look correct, they are too thick, and the 3 is not correct. the space between Cartier and Superlative Chronometer is too close. I'm sure there are tons of dial variations, but this one is suspect to me. Also I have never seen vintage lume turn lemon yellow?
1680 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Yes, numerals look a bit strange, I also don't like the gaps and font of the Explorer and Oyster Perpetual text. That italian (pen) seller has a few strange things lately.
lhooq Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 I pity the seven fools who bid this past $1000.
Tonyyammine Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 A few Rolex things from Italy have been fake. Lately
sneed12 Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 That lume is the color of [censored]. Is that normal?
panerai153 Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 the Ebay Rolex police from the Rolex forum must have sniffed this one out, It's gone!!!
