Gen lookalikes

I started a thread on genuine watches that "copy" famous watches designs as a marketing strategy a couple of days ago about. The feedback contained in the comments to my question suggest that many of us own genuine watches that are inspired on horological milestones costing a fraction of what we'd pay for the original icons. For examaple, this version of the Roloex Yachtmaster by German manufacturer DAVOSA.

also pretty much every watch rotary do is a homage/copy of something...heres the chronospeed model for around £60, its a navitimer copy and looks pretty good on the wrist, i've had a few but always end up giving them away as gifts...

During my readings, the number "4420101" comes up often.  Looks like an early-80s homage that you should be able to pick up for less than a couple hundred dollars.

There was also a listing a couple years back from an RWG member who wanted $4000 (!) for one.  Faintly ridiculous!
