gasdoc Posted April 2, 2013 Report Share Posted April 2, 2013 Maybe this is a silly question but I have the opportunity to buy a nice gen oyster or jubilee for a vintage sub project but its a 19mm bracelet. Is this actually a smaller bracelt or just the endlinks are smaller? Is the clasp from a 19mm bracelet interchangeable with a 20mm? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
alligoat Posted April 2, 2013 Report Share Posted April 2, 2013 As you say, the end links are smaller and the bracelet could well be also- stick w/ 20mm and you'll be much better off. The older bracelets didn't use screws like the newer ones do so you might have to drill out a rivet and then install a new one- not the kind of job for a novice. There is a reason, they don't work on watches with 20mm lugs. The 19's are for non sport models, Daytonas, Datejust, and other Rolex watches with 19mm lugs. If you see Kay Posted April 11, 2013 Report Share Posted April 11, 2013 I have had both gen jubillee 19mm and 20mm bracelets and they are different in size, not only the enlinks.
