flavor flav
i cut a 22mm blue shark strap to 20mm to have a wider strap and sportier look as this is a pretty beefy watch. i'm not sure if i like it or not. i know i can't stand the rep bracelet though because the screws and clasp so i thought i'd try this. love it or hate it? DWSmoot
Like the idea and the band width....but looks a little "fem" to me. Might be the color also....

Chronus
true.....it's an experiment i think a really thick black genuine alligator with blue stitching on an omega clasp would be amazing! but i can't seem to find one anywhere........ Get a custom-made HKTan And I like that look with the strap... I have a Zenith with a dark blue dial and a denim lizard skin strap, maybe I should try that strap on my SMP Chrono and see how it looks
chrgod
A bit different, and better than I had expected.. A black or blue ribber strap on an Omega deployment clasp would have been a killer!
Richard Tracy
I think blue shark looks great,.. I had a seamaster that I put a thicker, less refined blue shark strap on, which I thought was very handsome as well.

jfischman
Your blue shark strap is great. I really like a blue strap on the SMP. I got one for my wife's SMP Chrono and think it's a good match: No, that's not my wife's wrist...it's mine JF

jfischman
@ flavor flav - I got barbecued on another forum about my wife's hairy arms , so I am now specifying that they belong to me in advance BTW, love your avatar...I think the Ebel 1911 BTR is one of the best looking watches around...we need this in a rep ASAP. jfischman
@nxuan - Good suggestion. As soon as I work up the guts to remove the bezel, I will adjust it! JF
crystalcranium
The strap looks a little thin for the size of the watch to me but I do like the color combo. ...but the replica....unbelieveable! These are some of the best detailed pics of the SMP Chrono I've seen yet. It is, except for the reparable bezel insert misalignment, it's a spectacular replica. Best of luck. Watchmeister
I would prefer a dark alligator as well. Do the He valves work on any Omega reps? Or at least screw or unscrew? Just curious.

If you go diving deep enough to need an He valve, don't use a Rep as your timer.
Watchmeister
Yeah, that much I figured out. I was really just curious. It looks like the latest 243 has an He button that pushes in. I suspect it may not do much but it is nice to have another button you can push.

Yes, the screw can be turned. It does not come off but move a couple of rounds.
Glitch
I would suggest the Hirsch Leonardo to close that gap between the case and the lugholes. Ofrei has nice straps for the speedmaster that fit SMP cases perfectly. However, I feel they not worth the $$. But that's subjuctive, of course.
