hambone
Back in 1875 the condiment mayonaiise was introduced to the Country of Mexico. The food and sandwich enhancer became a beloved staple for the Mexican people. The Hellmans Mayonaiise Co. Of England regularly sent their product to the vastly growing demand to our southern neighbor. In 1912, the largest order of Hellmans Mayonaiise Was slated to be shipped , and the People of Mexico were excitedly anticipating the arrival of their favorite condiment The huge shipment left Southampton, England in early April, 1912, aboard the ill fated Titanic. and was lost along with 2000 people and 4000 cases of sardines. Mexicans mourned the loss deeply of the Hellmans, and Procaimed the date of the loss as a national day of remembrance . The holiday has been named for the past 100 years, " Sinko De Mayo"..

Hyjynx
Is this a mis-post, hambone?"Such a lovely place.... This could be Heaven or this could be Hell. cc33
Hambone, I'm so sorry to hear this news. Is that pill really 1000$ each? How many do you need? Why on earth do the drug companies think that's ok? I'm disgusted to be honest. I would like to help but it seems like a big goal to reach just for one pill, is there anything I can do? "At Gilead we are inspired by the opportunity to address unmet medical needs for patients living with life-threatening diseases around the world. - " Really!? At 1000$ per pill and 84000$ per treatment, I can't wrap my head around this
hambone
Yeah, the price is obscene. A liver transplant is Half a million $. It's hard to put a price on ones life, even though There are many ready to cash in and those Who will pay to live . The Doc told me I have a 50% probability of having a fatal episode within 6 months. I'm in end stage liver cirrhosis . It is all far worse than I expected it To be.

Hyjynx
At the risk of sounding cliche, laughter is indeed the best medicine. Keep your chin up and stay positive. We'll keep you in our thoughts, Hambone. Sending good vibrations your way, man. Edited August 15, 2014 by Hyjynx
cc33
I'm just not used to those kinds of reality being from Canada, socialized medicine has it's faults but the benefits outweigh them. I'm very saddened by this, you are in my thoughts as well.
