I have one that mymanmatt built for my wife. I had the gen  case and gen dial, he provided the rest. contact him, he might be able to help you find what you need.

Every one I have seen was in a 36mm case with 6mm crown...should be 34mm and 5.3mm.

Right, if you want a believable one, you need to find a Rolex case and dial/ My wifes is 34mm and has a 5.3mm movement and hands are not gen. I believe Matt tried a bunch of different movements and finally settled on an asian as it was the thinnest. 2824,2836 and 2892 would not  fit. It really makes a nice watch. i believe her serial number dated it to around 1968.

Thanks everyone. I recently sold a gen Tag aquaracer 300m. I saw a customer with a air king and it was classy,simple and very nice looking watch.

 

Figures no reps out there as they are not that popular.

There are reps but as automatico pointed out they are usually 36mm.  I bought a cheapo one with a black dial and transplanted the guts into a rep 34mm Tudor Prince Date case with fair results.  But, to get nice you need to go Franken with gen case, 2824 movement, and gen dial.
