docthor Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Since the vintage bug bit me it was nothing but obvious that I need to have a nice 1680 and I was very pleased when Jos asked me if he should build me one. I was totaly involved in the building process and it had been a pleasure for me. It even encouraged me to do my first own little steps in modding So here it is...my lightly Franken 1680 Specs: Josh 1680 gen spec case (afaik it's a cartel case) Lug holes gen spec drilled A2813 movement Cartel dial Cartel hands Cartel bezel Jos relumed TC crown TC tube Gen 127 crystal Gen 1680/5513 service insert

1680 Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 (edited) Which lume do you use? Edited June 3, 2013 by 1680
dutchguy2 Posted June 3, 2013 Report Posted June 3, 2013 Tritec Superluminova C1 with some "Kreide" to mix the right color and very important is the binder, I only use Tritec binder.

Jkay Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 That is very nice lume. To all the watch techs on this board -- keep practicing! A well done re-lume is a work of art. Did you not want to put on a smaller crown?
docthor Posted June 20, 2013 Author Report Posted June 20, 2013 ... Did you not want to put on a smaller crown? No...for some reason I really like it with this crown
sgtguk Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 If you ever want to Shirotenshi sells his type B (I think) crown and tube for a vintage build, looks very nice mate
docthor Posted June 20, 2013 Author Report Posted June 20, 2013 Many thanks for this hint sgt ...for this price I'll buy it and if I want to change once it can be done pretty fast 1
