cc33 Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 Ok, so I wasn't quite happy with my explorer dialed 6538 when I first recieved it, it was nice but the lume was too white and it looked a bit off for me. The hands also didn't feel right, so here's my second attempt at it, it's been relumed a darker shade and the hands are slightly diff, I also installed a darker insert. What do you guys think, better? First 2 pics are the old lume and hands, next 2 are the new lume and hands and the last pic is a gen.
eunomians Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 I agree that the 2nd variation is much nicer. Congrats
cc33 Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Posted June 11, 2013 Phew, glad I made the changes then, OCD at its finest Thanks guys
flyr Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 I'm still waiting on Canada post for my 6538 that MD 2020 overhauled and lumed for me, usually I'm a patient guy but this one has me chomping at the bit!
panerai153 Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 The relumed version of the dial looks much nicer. I know that moisture, humidity, or some natural force makes gen lume turn that sort of greyish green color, but it'spretty uncommon, and I don't care for it.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
danielv2000 Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 Very nice. I also prefer the new insert. Who did the re-lume?
cc33 Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Posted June 11, 2013 The other insert goes better with the 4 liner, win win. Ivan did the relume.
eduardor Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 looks great cc! great improvement, beautiful really!
