There are a number of popular xtal polishes out there or you can use my favorite, Meguiar's PlastX plastic cleaner/polish (available at most auto parts suppliers). JoeyB Posted June 19, 2013 Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 Any light duty polishing compound will remove the scratches and polish up bright and new looking. I use 'Brasso', mostly because I have 38 years worth of half empty cans of the stuff. I use Brasso to finish polish the Rolex 6542 Bakelite/Persex/acrylic/Lexan inserts. It takes out the finishing sanding for a smooth, glossy shine. On deeper scratches use 1500 grit sandpaper to level it out, then polish. The sandpaper will dull and cloud the crystal, the polish will bring it clear, bright and shiny like new. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
