Hi Guys,

I am working on a TC 16610 to 16613.

The progress is going slow.. very slow simply because the funds are not there at the moment to collect all the right parts

These are the parts I bought so far, according to their sellers they are gen.

Can you experts give your opinion??

Thanks a lot!

Insert looks good. No idea on other parts, are you using a gen movement.. and that's why the date wheel?

Have you decided on what bezel your going to buy?

I am going to use a serviced Y3135. Otherwise TC movt. All depends if I am going gen with the dial.

And the hands I have now are for the gen movt. so only fit The y3135. If i use Tc movt. I will have to buy new hands and DWO.

I will use the TC as a base. Maybe gold plate the bezel assembly myself ( a friend of mine is goldsmith) or buy the one from TC/janeto , already saw it but not out yet. But first more money ;-)

I understand, I have the gen dial in black and gold and will do the black version someday.

Really expensive project. Look forward to seeing yours finished! :)

I can vouch for the expensive part. I bought an old TW best 16613 several months ago, only to find out that the case is not close to gen like, and it wouldn't even accept a gen crystal. So, I bit the bullet picked up a gen construction case, and sent the watch over to mymanmatt for the case transplant. We ended up finding a brand new 18k aftermarket bezel on Ebay for about 200 USD less than the ones are selling for from WSO and a few others. had to change the tube, as Matt couldn't get the old one out the case. So I have now a gen like case, aftermarket 18K bezel, gen insert, crystal retaining ring, washer and click spring, gen dial, gen crystal, gen crown/tube and springbars. It looks very nice, but I have a ton in this watch now, haven't even gotten up the courage to try to tally up the costs!!! Still at matt's but he sent me a photo today, as it's complete. Sad part, of the old TW Best, the only thing left is the movement and bracelet. I would have been a whole lot better off building this one from parts rather than starting out with a watch that was not gen spec.

I am in the similar mood too.

Thinking of using Sean's 16610 to start with.

It is worth to get 18k solid gold from WSO or just using one the SS bezel and do the 18k plating on it?

Lovely watch panarai!

@ck TC will come out with some decent 16613 parts soon. Have already seen some pics of it. If you are not in a hurry you might want to wait for it

Yes, but I think he is only working on bracelet. Unless you know something that I don't.

The blue inserts generally seem less expensive than a regular black 16610's in my travels...now if only that was the case with gold bezels! :)

I agree. The blue/gold combo are normally less than a black/silver.  The blue/silver though go for the same as the black/silver 16613 since they can be used on a standard sub to mix things up.
