436NR Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Has anyone picked up the newest version yet? Angus posted a v2 in the middle of Oct coming from the Mark factory. I'm curious what they've improved and what they've made worst. Thanks!
higginsd Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 According to this thread the "V2" isn't better: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/3777-v2-161982.html

seafoam Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Nice. Is this with the genuine alligator strap?
CSCSCS Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Yes, indeed. Hope it can make it look nicer.
lalala88 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 This looks wonderful. I compared these pictures with gen pictures online, couldn't find any error. Does anyone know of any definitive give away? I am thinking of getting a bracelet version. Thanks a lot.
higginsd Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 There are issues with the triangle @ 12 on some dials, it is crooked. The pushers fall off and MUST be secured with thread lock. The crown is sharped edged and the IWC-symbol on the crown is much clearer on gens. Some people see issues with the day/date wheels and the AR, but I personally can't see them. OK, the biggest issue is the movement, the 79320/ETA-7750 is much better and smoother. But this can be changed for 400-500$. 1
Mirage Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Just got mine from Angus. Enjoy! Just be carefull not to pinch the gasket when you reinstall the caseback. Seems to be the case in the one before last of your pics
lalala88 Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks higginsd for the information. I went to the IWC store at NYC today, tried the 3777 (and a few other watches), it does look gorgeous, so I am about to order a rep. One last question, how does the 3777 compare with the 3717, in terms of the closeness to gen? Many thanks again.
higginsd Posted January 7, 2014 Report Posted January 7, 2014 ... I went to the IWC store at NYC today... I wish I could do this also. Only 7000km away from my home - and I love this city! I can't say much about the closeness of the 3717, but all I read about is that it is one of the closest reps in the market. The 3777 is nearly perfect out of the box as I think (if you don't get a crooked triangle). After installing a gen dial and a gen crown you can call it a Super-rep. A gen 79320 on top and even an AD could only check the serial and find out it's a rep. OK, then you payed round about 1500$ for the complete watch. But have a look at the price of the gen... 1
lalala88 Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Higinsd, thanks for the kind reply again. Glad to hear that 3717 is a good quality rep. Style wise, after some "soul searching" I am also leaning towards the 3717 now mainly due to my small wrist size. I wish you could fit the 3777 bracelet on the 3717 but I guess that won't work because of the different case diameters. I plan to order a 3717 shortly. If you know where to source and install a gen crown and maybe also a gen dial, please advise. Many thanks!
