Repair Kit

Watch Bitz has a sub forum here. Good quality kits.

I got one of those kits from Watch Bitz (Offshore) and some items are just what I need quality wise and some are not so good quality wise. Don't know if I'd buy again if I had it to do over. Overall I'd say it's fairly priced for the quality, just think that I'd recommend buying some ala cart tools from Bergon (or similar) rather than a kit.

Several guys like the kit from TimeZone (Ofrei), it's mostly Bergon stuff so pricey and quality. It doesn't have as much of a variety for about twice as much so the question is what tools do you want and see what is the best quality you can afford but not necesicary to over spend unless your going to turn pro later.

Thanks, just starting  to mess with my own watches, so sizing/changing bracelets, removing  the back and simple stuff to start.  Going to take apart some old units I do not wear anymore to kind of get the feel of it.

I recommend a sticky ball from Esslingers for opening casebacks. Mine has opened everything I ever used it on. http://www.esslinger.com/watchcaseopeningfictionball.aspx

Esslingers sells some decent beginners tool kits as well.

If you search eBay for the following brands you can choose what level you go in at.

Bergeon, top quality used by many professionals

A*F Swiss, still good quality but cheaper than Bergeon

Anchor, Indian made and good for beginners who want to get a feel for Horology cheaply.
