panasol Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 new combination... my Pam 292J on a Simona DiStefano Mille Miglia red strap....and I love it...
fraggle42 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Looking good Richard Thank you! I'm very happy with it, considering I bought it without seeing one in the flesh first. It was a huge hassle removing a link from the bracelet, hammer, large pliers and a vice sort of hassle, but all done now with no marks to anything (I have just bought three new vices with a set of rubber jaw protectors for them, so as everything was brand new, unused and free from bit of swarf that they usually pick up, they were perfect for the job, and their delivery couldn't have been timed better ) I've subsequently found from others that they have found that removing and fitting the pins the opposite way to the indicator arrow is a heck of a lot easier. Got a display case back on the way.
F.Castro Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Is that an old tape recorder from mid 60's?
F.Castro Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 @relaxman How good are this new modern replicas? How are the crown gards? Is there any pics side by side genuine vs replica?
fraggle42 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Is that the 2007 original or the CTi remake in 2009? And did you pay the £50,000 asking price for it? Technologically it's great, but I can't find anything I like in the execution of the case, sorry.
