jpz5142
Mike - what gives? One week your broke next your buying a gen black bay. Did you win the lotto? Swiss Luxury has them for about as cheap as I have seen them online. $3000 for bracelet and $2800 for strap. http://www.swissluxury.com/tudor-watches.htm Haven't tried the bay...... Mike on a bike
That being said gonna be some real nice watches coming out of my stock for this one: vintage Rolex most likely, well if you have a gen BB................
jpz5142
I look at chrono24, it's kind of like porn but for watches.... Don't know if I'd buy from Italy, but it is much cheaper. I'd just be afraid of the shipping, I hear that their postal system sucks. I wonder what the import tax for that would be and if it be about the same price and just give you peace of mind to buy from a conus seller? And I agree, don't need vintage Rex reps if your going gen black bay
Mike on a bike
My thoughts on Italy buying also. And yes with this I do not see vintage getting any wrist time, have plenty of dress watches this will be my everyday.
fraggle42
I've used Chrono24 to buy my Laco from a German dealer. They're good. It lists the time each dealer joined Chrono24, and there's also a VIP dealer status, and chrono24 also request feedback about the transaction and the goods for every one sold, I got one asking for details about the Laco I bought. Those dealers in Italy are where I plan to get my gen BB (if i get one), when I get mine I'll fly down to Turin to pick it up and have a long weekend break Just use a trusted dealer there and you should be fine. Archetypal
I'm not sure if Hong Kong is an option for you Mike but it's obviously a tax haven plus you can always negotiate at least 10% off marked. I'm not near my receipt right now but on a walk in purchase I paid in the region of 2700 usd for the bracelet version, from an AD (not a tudor brand store). Big Dazza
I can vouch for Hong Kong being very competitive for gen prices. I got my gen Breitling Chronomat Evolution for £2300 which was around 38% off list price!
Archetypal
That is an epic deal big D. If the watch you are after is 'last season' for instance, you can grab some silly deals over here.
Big Dazza
Yea I had to get it at that price. Are you from Hong Kong Archetypal?

Big Dazza
Ai I'm the opposite, parents from HK but living in the UK. They sure do. So many high end watch shops and massive billboards! It's a pity there's the postal risk because there a huge bargains to be had there.
Deckard1979
I bought mine from http://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/in-stock.html?brand=2891 Looks like they source them from Italy too:

jpz5142
I'd be ok with shipping from HK vs Italy, however I'm just not sure what US Customs would charge as import tax. Any US guys have experience with that? I know there is an amount that if over they charge tax when traveling, I'd imagine it to be the same when shipping.
