Fat font insert HELP!

Basically finished my 6538 build, minus a insert. I have searched long and hard for a fat font insert, which are either silly priced £1000+ for the insert alone (mk2) or are in in-trustworthy locations such as Islamabad etc.

Has anybody got one? No who has?

You are going to have to bite the bullet & pay the going price if you want a gen (I have never seen a credible aftermarket/rep fat font insert). Best sources are the for sale sections of the gen forums & ebay.

I have this MkIII fattie on the Big Gonzo.  It's faded to a blue/grey but it's a little too "blue" for my taste.  This picture exaggerates the effect.

 

If you come up with another fattie that's black and want to trade ... let me know.

Nanuq - You are joking I hope? Like 'tropical' black dials (that fade to brown due to paint issues), (naturally) bluing inserts are very collectible.

Hmm. I know I will. All the except able prices seems to always be in those countries you would not seem to trust.

Guess I will just be patient and see what comes up
