With that L342,xxx SN, I was thinking it's a later model MBW/MBK.

early MBWs had the L serial- 341, or 342, but were marked 5513 since that's what the case is- a copy of a late model 5513

Looks like a decent watch to me, especially if you have gen like bezel construction like the MBWs do.

all signs point to MBK,

not bad, unless you paid more than $550

I've just been looking at then and the crown guards don't seam as good as mien.

The seller/trade got back to me and says the case and dial are Yuki??

What are your thoughts guys

bracelet is typical crappy mbk one, lugs have the high shoulders like mbk, crown guards outside havnt been trimmed so they have the wide large mbk ones, serial number is typical mbk one used.

if it were a yuki case the rear profile of the crown guards would be different and the crown position would be correct. the crown position on this one is lower than it should be because its made for ETA which mbk cases use, yuki cases have the correct high -above center position because they are designed for rolex movements. dial is mbk and this case wont fit a gen sized 1680 dial.

even if the crown is gen, its the modern 703, not appropriate for this watch, and the movement is high beat.

That's a Guangzhou clone ETA movement.

Also, listen to Highoey .. the watch is less than halfway there. You need to source a good $80 low beat gen swiss movement from eBay and replace the crown with a period-appropriate one, then massage the case to make it more believable.

I do think a low beat eta like the 2846-2 would be nice, but swapping in a 702 crown and tube for the 703 assembly isn't that big a deal in my mind- even my gen 1680 has a 703 assembly.

But if you did do the 702 assembly, I saw last week where Athaya has a killer price for his 702 rep assembly.
