Akira
A while a go, my (by now) good friend Ogladio contacted me about a bezel swap on his 1675 Franken. To cut a long story short - the watch was a mess... The case was based on a 5513, the DWO was misaligned, the dial and movement were glued into the case, because the genuine dial was narrower than the rehaut. "Forward is the battle cry" Genuine 1675 parts are cheap and easy to come by (everyone knows that). So...a genuine case, case back, insert, crown, tube, plexi and bracelet later - I present Ogladio's new 1675: That's it... PS: The dial feet were already cut when Ogladio bought the original Franken - so F off!

ogladio
Easy to come by... Good description mate Iirc, our paths first crossed when I saw your rework on a wso bezel (getting them to have the more "pointy V" shape to match mkI). Fun thing is that the gen case (1.74 mil) also matches the dial - as well as the separately bought caseback. As you said, stacking parts is like strolling into Walmart... Mendota Explorer
Damned fine build. The 1675 is definitely on my wish list for vintage pieces.
ogladio
Shot some pics today as the sun came out. What I really love most about this build is its profile - this is quite hard to get with a josh 1655 base:
panerai153
Beautiful, nice thing about a gen case, you can use a 5.3 mm crown. To me the crown and crown guards are the biggest tell when you use a rep case,as most were made for 6mm crowns. Great work!!
