Read notifications for PM messages?

Hi Admins,

I'm wondering if there's a way to get when a PM to someone has been read by the addressee.

I spent an hour to reply to a message of a new guy here that was asking suggestions on how to deal with overseas purchase, and I'm not getting if it has been read (so far I'd have liked to get at least a "thanks") or simply not yet read.

Hi GenTLe, I've never seen a setting in the software that lets it send a "message read" update.

But if you go to your list of messages, it should show that it's been read.

Check on the left side the participants, under that you'll see if it's read or not

Thanks Nanuq, I wan't searching for a read notification message (yes, the thread title is not good to understand what I meant), but instead what martijnp explained me :-) I didn't notice AT ALL the status under the nicks on the left
