cromodora Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Got mysellf vintage carrera chrono with lemania inside. I had to have it cause it was fantastic deal. Sorry for the lousy pic.
cromodora Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 You can find more about it here and about other tag's http://home.xnet.com/~cmaddox/heuer/articl...ra_article.html
crystalcranium Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Got mysellf vintage carrera chrono with lemania inside. I had to have it cause it was fantastic deal. Sorry for the lousy pic. Beautiful...Congratulations. Heuer, the real Swiss watch company. Not that I have anything against Tags, its just that the brand is known more by the "Tag" shorthand than by the part of the name construct that actually has the history.
cromodora Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 Thnx C It was kind off to be continued.....I say Tag and next thing you see on the pic is HEUER.... I have never been a Heuer man but this one was too good to be passed thru.
cromodora Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 The only thing that keeps buging me is that I'll need some transition period from all the pams down to some normal watch sizes.
ubiquitous Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Just out of curiosity... Is this the re-edition? The vintage Tri-C's were V72's, and I thought the Lemania's came with the re-release of the vintage pieces post TAG acq. Regardless of age, it's an excellent piece, and a great addition to the collection!
cromodora Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 Ubi it is re-edition....it would cost me much more to lay my hands on a true vintage one with V72
ubiquitous Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 It's a beauty! And I love it... The ringed subdials are a nice aesthetic, and provide a great contrast to the dial; I love the overall design. Simple, functional... Good lines, and in my opinion, a classic that will hold it's own over the course of time. I'm not a TAG guy either... But I do love the Heuers. The Carrera, Monaco and Autavia are all models on my wish list... Enjoy your new time piece! It's a great watch!
miquel Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I love the vintage Heuers! The Carrera is my all-time favorite model. Very nice purchase.
cromodora Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 Thnx....I'll take some better pics as soon as I get a chance.
chrgod Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Very nice, sporty and classy... And it is on the proper racing leather strap.
david-aussie Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 very nice purchase. would expect to increase its value over time... defintely a keeper.
cromodora Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 I'll post some better pics as soon as I get it from my watchsmith...I left him for an inspection. Maybe I'll have one more coming in so if anyone is interested just PM me.
Guest avitt Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Sweet watch! I love the racing look, with the perforated strap. Coincidentally, I'm sporting my Heuer Monza Re-Edition today. I'd love to find a nice Carrera "1964"...
cromodora Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) What was the damage? There is no damage.....I did it just for precausion measures Edited December 17, 2006 by cromodora
