maxse
thing is I have a Rolex YM w/ ETA movement and the hand looks like it is sweeping but when I look closer at the tip it sometimes is a bit jerky not one smoot motion. Is this how it should be for an ETA?
Devedander
Yes. No watch is perfectly smooth, they all jump. If you think about it, there is a little gear that catches back and forth in there, there has to be some kind of step, the steps are just really tiny for ETAs so they appear pretty smooth. Some electronic wall clocks have a motor that actually drives continuously, but I don't think any watches are truly continuous.
Pugwash
but I don't think any watches are truly continuous. Apart from the Seiko Spring Drive.

james21oo
My noobmariner does exactly the same as this in exactly the same place. Think I'll email TTK for a replacement too...
