I have to admit it.  When I saw Rolli's pics, I loved the OEM build quality and attention to detail.

However, I had a lingering question in the back of my mind.   :g:

The answer came in the mail today.

It's tobacco baby!    :clap2:

Excuse the small piece of dust and the iPhone pics.

Thank you Rolf and Simon!   :notworthy:

It's building season again!    :yahoo:

Thanks J ...and I hope your build brings you a lot of pleasure !   :)

I'm pretty excited S!  Thanks again to you and Rolli for bringing this to the community.

That about the nicest thing I've ever seen. What case you have there?

This is an Hfact 177 case.  I have two Hfact 061 cases on existing builds. As far as I can tell, the 177 and 061 cases are the same, except of course for the AR'd crystal and rollerball lever on the 177.  I picked up the 177 case a couple of weeks back in anticipation of this build.  What I was pleasantly surprised to find today in my movement box though is this:

:)  An old school swiss movement with DSN foils. Forgot I had this.  This will do until Rolli brings his engraved bridges to the community!

I set aside some time this evening to put together the 036.  It's been awhile since I have taken out my tools. I was pretty excited.

First up, I wanted to replace the unfinished gears in my Swiss DSN movement.

So I took some Asian gears and did some extra polishing on the bevelled gears with my dremel and green paste.

Gears installed.

Next I installed the H3 cannon pinion.  My only regret is that I didn't spend more time flattening the top.  It looked ok at the time.  I'm sure my OCD will drive me to redo it later.

Dial installed.  I have to say the dial is very nice. My iPhone pics don't do it any justice.

You can see the perfect fit in this profile pic.

I tried to capture the finish of the dial with this shot.

Test fitting in case.  I still need to trim the stem on the gen crown.

Crown stem properly sized.

Added silicone grease to the o-rings on the crown and case.

Cased.

More pictures to follow tomorrow.  Hopefully I can get some good shots in natural light.  Thanks for looking.   :)
