errrlend
I've got a gen Oyster Perpetual Air-King, and it needs a new dial. So I'm looking for no-date dial like Air-King 5500 or Oyster Perpetual ref. 1002 etc. Not the most popular dial among rep makers, so if anyone knows anyone who's got them, please speak up! Thanks. (I am of course searching for a gen dial too, but that'll take a while.)
jigelow
Check eBay. Putting a rep dial on a gen piece feels odd.
blue.
Difficult task, though this dial might not be bad, it is refinished though! Other than that try finding a genuine one. Good luck!
wiesn089
I have a genuine blue Air King dial I don't need anymore. I can send you pictures tonight, but essentially it's the same dial as pictured here: http://www.watchclub.com/w4136/rolex-air-king-34mm-blue-dial/1 Let me know if you are interested. automatico
As long as you have the original dial and hands it really does not matter what you put on the watch. I have a couple AK with Yuki 'Explorer' dials/hands and also have the original dials/hands so when I sell one they will be included. They may sell better with the Yuki dials anyway, except to nutty purist types. A 1002 etc dial will have the 'Certified Chronometer' blurb so they are not suited to an AK. Didn't think of that.
errrlend
Thanks guys. Yes, I will of course keep the original dial, though I doubt I'll be selling the watch. The original is a red no-date Air-King dial. I'm not a big fan of the red, and I suspect it was the red dial that scared off other buyers (I got it at an auction for $900). Yuki might have what I need after all, it turns out. And yes, it's a 1520 movement so the 1002 dial won't be correct, you're right.
