Guest REPPIN
So I see this new Omega Speedy Professional at Toro: http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1500 I email him to ask him about it. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A $528.00 Rep. 1. The chronograph subdial at 3:00 is faux....ok fine whatever, still alot of money for a faux chrono, but it looks great. 2. NOT ONLY is the chrono non functional, but its also stuck at 14minutes just like in the picture....EVERY WATCH HE GETS is stuck at 14 minutes just like this one.... What the hell is wrong with these factories??? Why the hell would they produce a watch with a non-functional chrono sub dial stuck at 14 f**king minutes. Beachcomber
They probably worked off a photo and in the photo the hand was stuck at 14 min. This is a bit much for a non functional chrono. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fracture
The rep factories are inflating their prices harder than the gen factories. It kind of puts me off of purchasing more reps, and pushes me towards saving up for another gen.
importr
The prices are ridiculous. What Fracture said was completely agreeable. There are friends of mine who used to buy one or two reps from me but when I tell them how much the latest ones cost, none are interested. To a non watch geek, 300+bucks is a lot of money to drop on what they perceive Should be a cheap fake Swiss Watch.
pcardoza
There's only ONE reason prices have gone up. Because we keep buying! There's only ONE way to reverse the trend. Keep your money in your wallet.
Guest REPPIN
Ya, its complete [censored]. I am along the same lines...about to stop buying reps and start saving for only Gens. I have 2 gens right now, a 14060M and a 214270. But I really want a Gen with a date!!! Crazy times my friends.

Keep your money in your wallet. I can agree with this. I would much prefer to build a watch now than buy one. It's much better value for money, will actually contain a swiss movement and the price can be spread out and in the end you have a much more accurate rep that will probably hold its value better in this community as it is a unique piece and one cannot just go out and buy a new one from a TD.
