Following are the gen components so far: 93250 bracelet bezel insert crystal (with LEC) bezel click spring Looking to add a gen crown. Are both gen 703 and 704 crowns compatible? Is a gen tube essential? Where is the best source for a reasonably priced crown? I've seen someone suggest that it's possible to get gen crowns for USD$50...is this true? Thanks!

watcher Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Same threads. Rolex only make one 703 crown tube. 703 is correct for a tc but I had a 704 on mine. Depends if you're that bothered. I had standard tc tube.

Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) 703 is older generation crown (5 digits) like 16610 704 is newer generation crown (6 digits) like 116610 704 is "monobloc" and my conclusion is it's better because it's crafted from single block not capped like 703.
