cavi Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 I have bought quite a few reps in a short period of time. Lots of fun!! How easy is it for me to upgrade the ones that have 2813 movements to 2836 eta clones? Is it straight forward? Where do I buy the new movements?
tomhorn Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 You'll need a new set of hands, and will have to cut the dial feet. Also, if the watch has a datewheel, you'll have to replace that too. Depending on the rep, you may also have to replace the movement ring.
cavi Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 So if I really like it leave it alone or put it on my list and buy another already with the 2836 in it!!!! I think a healthy diet of a watch a month is healthy!!!
cavi Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 on the same note, if a 2813 dies, is it as simple as finding another 2813 movement and having a watchsmith replace it?

cavi Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 what is a good source to buy movements like a 2813?
