Speedmaster
Just out of curiosity...did they ever make a good ETA version of this same watch? I know this is an old review, but I'm interested in this watch. Thanks.
piratedzeus
Yes they did. But the crown is bad. Good thing: GEN crown only 40$ => could make a very good rep
By-Tor
Wow, glad to see this old review still gets read. Besides the bad crown, the new ETA version has a bad screwup on the dial. It reads "AUTOMATIC" under the red GMT text, and it should read "CHRONOMETER". The rep also has double-sided AR, which is inaccurate for this model. Gen GMT doesn't have any AR. Stay away from that one, if you're looking for an accurate rep. musicale
I just got mine this week. What a stunning watch, even with a few scratches I think it is probably going to become my "daily beater". It really feels like a tool watch. I also have a Seamaster Bond on the way. Talk about a great way to start my Omega collection!
Sturb
Hi All, Can anybody tell me if this is the same watch as reviewed or a cheaper version? http://www.watchsilix.com/product.asp?id=1599 Thanks Paul

musicale
No worries, I only know because I bought one recently and therefore had researched it. It's a very nice watch.
zzipy
By tor: There is an ETA version from King that is awesome. It does not have the problems you have listed. No AR and says Chronometer. Uses ETA movement. The crown is bad and I am going to get it changed soon. I bought the Asian 21J version and liked it so much that I got this one also. Absolutely awesome. http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods.php?id=
King Charles
zzipy, King's looks to be the same as the one on Precious Time's site: PT Homepage You'll have to use the site's menu to navigate to the Omega GMT. Neither appear to have the red tips to the GMT & second hands that are apparent on the gen on Omega's site: Gen GMT Has the gen been updated to have red tips. Did Omega ever make the model without red tips?
