nick1972 Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Hello Guys, Just build myself another 9411/0 from gen parts, Does anyone know what size the caseback gasket is?I have a gasket but it is to small and thin.I also missing a gasket in the 702 tube...are these still available in gen or aftermarket? Thanks
Beachcomber Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I don't think the 702 had a rubber gasket, only the 703 I thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk P.s beautiful Tudor, all gen?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nick1972 Posted November 9, 2015 Author Report Posted November 9, 2015 When cleaning the tube I found some black hardened residue so I supose it had a gasketAll gen, it's a '75 - 9411/0
marrickvilleboy Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 702 has a gasket sitting on the end of the crown tube - it often gets stuck to the inside of the crown when you remove the crown from the case.
Nanuq Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 The 702 is very simar to the 700 with its gaskets. This shows how the crown gasket fits in the end of the tube.
nick1972 Posted November 10, 2015 Author Report Posted November 10, 2015 Thx Nanuq, so 2 gaskets inside the tube.
jmb Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Two inside, one in the crown, and there is no groove in tube for external like the 703 has.
Mendota Explorer Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 Eslinger has a complete case reference chart for all case numbers and which gaskets go with each one. I just had to get a new case gasket for my 1680.
nick1972 Posted November 11, 2015 Author Report Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys, found it. It seems that the gaskets for the 703 tubes are also used in the 702 tubes. Ref: 29-06000Caseback gasket 29-325-10 Edited November 11, 2015 by nick1972
