greekgod
Hello guys, I understand that the parts for the 15400 are very rare and expensive, but if one had to is it possible to Franken a 15400? I am looking at a Gen dial and hands with swiss ETA. Perhaps a Gen xtal. If so where do I start and which version of 15400 should I get?? Appreciate your help.GG
panerai153
I believe that there may have been some attempts to franken these, by the guys over on RWI. Not really sure, but I believe I read that some were. In most cases, the most that has been done is a double AR. Crystal, and straightening out crooked AP logos and crooked indices. Not really franken stuff, mostly cleaning up mistakes!!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
sacsah1
The only things I would recommend for this watch.Prof double ARed Crystal. If you can find a gen dial- impossible to find. And leave it at that. The deco plates are designed for miyota not Swiss eta. Plus regardless of what you put in the back, one look at the back and it's an instant tell. So don't spend too much money on this project.Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk

I've a set of gen dial, hands, and most importantly, complete gen movement incoming. But the wait for the movement was so damned long! The built isn't for me though but a fellow local. SSTEEL
Frankens are always something doable, but like many, its sourcing the parts, and in the case of any AP parts, they are expensive, here's a couple of examples of dials, let alone other parts to make a true franken.Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 32 mm Blue Dial For 44 mm Watch Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Blue Dial 29m Part for 42m Watch Mens Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Dial Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Blue dial quadrante ref. 15202ST original new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Blue/Grey dial quadrante ref. 14790ST 14700ST
