Rolex5512 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Report Posted December 16, 2015 So...any other recommendations? Tried MyManMatt and Misiekped, neither do this work.
alligoat Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 JMB- Justin, can do it, depending on what you want- he can certainly soften a case, just don't know about putting bevels on the lugs- that takes a special machine I believe
Rolex5512 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Report Posted December 17, 2015 Super glued the plexi back in because it fell out during transit...safe to say I f'd something up. So frustrating.
jmb Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 Ooooh, plexi and super-glue don't play well with each other. But, all is not lost...
Rolex5512 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Report Posted December 17, 2015 Ooooh, plexi and super-glue don't play well with each other. But, all is not lost...Unfortunately, I was just following instructions. What can I use to polish it out? Polywatch?
Beachcomber Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 Superglue was bad advice to begin with. Is that SG all over the plexi?
Rolex5512 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Report Posted December 17, 2015 Superglue was bad advice to begin with. Is that SG all over the plexi?I used the smallest amount of glue. Thats actually fumes reacting with the contact point on the crystal I assume. I was very careful with the glue.
jmb Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 The superglue out-gasses while curing and fogs the surface of the plexi. You might be able to use polishing compound but would be a lot easier to replace it.

So far Clarks T19 seems to be the one...
highoeyazmuhudee Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 yeah -dont use superglue anywhere on a watch. the oils in the movement could also be effected
