Considering Sellita supplied The Swatch Group with ETA branded movements once upon a time, its a no brainer than Sellita are just as good, if not better in some cases than ETA, Sellita even add an extra jewel in some of their movements, SW200, and SW220 (2836-2 type), so have 26J.

Indeed, its ignorance mainly, people jump to conclusions thinking the Sellita brand is a clone such as the various Chinese ETA clones.

I think the bad name for sw is justified. Everyone I've seen needed to be replaced. And, they were new. I'm telling you, the quality of the parts in the sw is not good. That's my 2 cents.

Interesting Matt, I take it you are referring to the base calibre Sellitas?  There are three grades.  I've personally had no problems with any SW movements over the last three years working on hundreds of them.

Same as Mike, got a few gens with Selitas in them and no problems at all.

This surprises me. I've only had a few Selittas across my bench but have found the quality to be just fine. As good as ETA in my opinion and I've done literally probably a thousand ETAs through the years. What exactly are the problems  you're finding with them? I'd be interested to know.

Nanuq ... Nanuq ... is that you Nanuq?

If not, I suggest that you save that watch in a safe secure place til Nanuq dies ... you can easily claim that Nanuq modified that watch specially for you and it may have extraordinary collector's value then!
