Any word or idea on how is the quality of rubber strap? I'm sure lots of u.PO owner are waiting to buy the rubber strap once this Casino Royale Bond watch is release :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Well, but does anyone actually know when it's coming out, if at all??? I personally don't like the special edition, but if they correct the dial logo design (omega logo sans feet), it would be the only PO to get. I don't care if they screw something else, I'll just swap dials with the Ultimate, and I 'll have a perfect PO to go with my genuine strap.

Generally speaking double AR coating sucks and that is why you seldom see it used... it is just a bad idea. Low end AR coating in unbearable... it makes the watch look dirty, smeared and smudged ALL THE TIME. High quality AR is better but still very prone to being dirty.... I can only imagine what REALLY low quality double AR would be like (likely what any fake would use). I would MUCH prefer single AR coating, it just makes more sense.

The double AR on the new breitling SS is awsome! I havent had any "smudging" issues, and it wipes clean really easy!

This might be failry inaccurate but this is what I think-

Previous Casino Royale PO was an Ultimate PO with minor adjustments, this newer version looks very much like the predecessor to the Ultimate PO with minor adjustments?

That is precisely what it is. 5th gen 45mm PO with the same flaws carried over - incorrect and faint date font, incorrect pearl and use of 2836 movement requiring a caseback that is too deep.

I'm keeping schtum about what I think about the two new parts that have been added. <_<

Ditto :blink::blink: :blink:

Feel like I've wasted a lot of time to be honest....

Very disappointing after all the hype ! The minute hand is shorter, the date font is rubbish and apart from the case back, second hand and Omega symbol, you are paying an extra $50 for not a lot...

Remember the watch is tested for water resistance.

"Water resistance" - that covers a multitude of sins !! :g:

Let's not be too harsh, this being Jay's first try.

We don't want him to get discouraged, however we do want to let him know in a tactful way,

so when he completes our choices, expecially the Iwc,.. he's in a postive frame of mind.

Well said... I agree too.

After some reflection I'll say publicly what hithero I've only shared privately....

I'm fairly certain something has gone seriously wrong with this project, there are too many details that don't add up compared to what Jay and I swapped many details over. I'm talking minutae here, the accurate reproduction of which, he was keen as anyone to bring to fruition. Just doesn't make any sense....unless the delay was due to the original maker pulling out? Like when your architect/builder walks off site halfway into a build and you're left with finding someone at very short notice to complete but whose standards are much much lower. I had it from the horse's mouth that the base for this would be the U-PO. Even the serial no. does not match the original spec. :brow:

Makes sense,.... Let us know what he says about the errors and what can be done, if anything,

to correct... otherwise he's invested into a void,.. something we don't want, or it could sink our future plans

with him...
