Nanuq Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 My 6536/1 has the year spelled out to 4 digits
dbane883 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Report Posted June 28, 2016 Ditto & you might also consider spraying a light coat of matte varnish to the dial to add a bit of subtle texture & tone down the shine. I've actually already lightly blasted it with micro glass beads to remove the garish sheen and creating a more favorable texture. As for the hands, they still have the original tritium and was something I bus had lying around. I've already taken it apart and will shape the lug tip profile over the next little while. 1
Champagnesky Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 That tonny case looks really sweet. Tonny mentioned once that his watchmaker could produce basically any cases from scratch. We need to get to the source of these vietnam cases

Dbane, could you please describe the process of blasting with marco glass beads? What tools are you using for that?
dbane883 Posted July 5, 2016 Author Report Posted July 5, 2016 Mini sand blaster.... Basically an air brush loaded with micro glass beads in the top hopper.

Very nice result indeed, much better than the matte varnish imho. Can the sand blaster be used on cases too? Would be it be possible to use it with bigger beads to get those small holes on the case?
pam007 Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 I like Phong case and Tonny's Bezel Assembly. Great looking build 1
