Is this an OEM Panerai Strap ?

I saw this strap supposed to be the calf gold cashmere from the PAM127.... Do you think this strap is a gen ?

Thought the calf gold cashmere was in grained calf

I have a doubt because i thought that the OEM gold cashmere was always in grained calf, like this one( photo from Paneristi)

Been a while since I had a genuine Panerai strap, but it seems like the ones I had were stamped Austria. Yours is stamped Italy. Not sure if this is relevant, maybe some of the real Panerai aficionados will weigh in.

I have an OEM Asso at home. I will try and grab some macros of the underside when I get back from my trip.

MX designation denotes a strap with signed, sewn-in buckle; AFAIK

(Confident it's OEM; just not MX)

Looks more like a rugby calf than a cashmere...

 

Only early straps were stamped AUSTRIA

 

Hard to say if it's gen, even the plastic sleeve has been replicated now... I stick to AD for this kind of stuf...

Thank you all for your interest and your help.... the conclusion is that i should not buy this strap as there is too much doubts about his authenticity !

It's a nice piece but i have never seen a gen gold cashmere like that
