Searching for the item number, it brings up this overly expensive handset.

I am suspect of how much they are corroded.   It makes me think the corrosion could be synthetic.  (Use of salts compound, etc).

 

Unless the metal is zinc, you would have to submerge them in saltwater to look this bad.   But it is possible the hands were not artificially submerged in a corrosive compound.

Mine date to 1964 and still look pretty good. I'm suspect too.

I think they look similar to a set I bought from a watchmaker's estate.
