Aside from a lot of fancy light scrims/tents I have most of what's needed to shoot that style, and I've done it in the past with some makeshift works (these are all from 2009).

Love that Milgauss pic! Captures the feeling of the setting I feel it should be used.

 

Unfortunately after a recent trip to the US, and the dropping of my half-decent zoom outside the Capitol, I have nothing but a wide lens to express the love of the few pieces that I have...

I shoot almost all of my watch shots with the Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro lens or a 50mm with a 27.5mm extension tube.
