Tinting lume with oil colors

Hi mates! Has anyone tried tinting lume with oil paints? I need to relume a couple of watch hands, but dont have any other paints around?

May I ask what one would usually use to tint them? I have a problem with matching the daylight color of hands to a dial.

I use artist pastels. Just use a file to rub a little colored dust into the lume. A tiny bit goes a long way...

Did a test yesterday and it was a complete fail. Read on another forum that enamel paint should work. The binder is acrylic though, so I bought Vallejos acrylic based model paint. Will test tonight

cause yesterday ive only had oil paints available.

Acrylic paint mixed with lume and binder works well. It will somewhat reduce the lume intensity but it´s great/cheap for attaining certain tints, for instance vintage.

Yeah keep the paint and binder complimentary, or it will essentially curdle, pick up some thinner too.

I think the pigment solution is the most rational, considering that the lume is a pigment too. Where did you buy these btw?

I buy in creative shops. There is 84 shades.
