Nanuq Posted June 25, 2017 Author Report Posted June 25, 2017 No wolves, the gate keeps them off the deck. But the bears climb right over. 1
themannier Posted June 25, 2017 Report Posted June 25, 2017 It's a bear on your terrace, at your home ?
Nanuq Posted June 26, 2017 Author Report Posted June 26, 2017 Yep, it happens all the time. Not a big deal. 1
kernow Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Are they looking for food or admiring the view?
Nanuq Posted June 26, 2017 Author Report Posted June 26, 2017 I think both, it's like popcorn at the movies!

Nanuq Posted June 26, 2017 Author Report Posted June 26, 2017 That's the thing, I live in the mountains so we are used to having them around all the time. We have wolves, bears, Lynx, moose, you name it. I'm really lucky to live here. Another "almost" midnight photo, it's 11:30 and the sun is up, my friend down the mountain is running his chain saw, I have my guitar and a nice Malbec on the deck, it's a warm evening (60 degrees still!) and it won't get any darker tonight. This is heaven on earth. This is how bright the yard is when I don't point the camera at the sky. It's as bright as noon on winter solstice. 1
Dinkis Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Wait...let's also see midnight in January! Just for kicks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nanuq Posted June 26, 2017 Author Report Posted June 26, 2017 Okee mcdokee, here's midnight last New Years eve, with just a hint of northern lights ... same angle, same view. 2
