DateJust 42 help me find it...2836 swappable? or should I go for the 3135

I guess the general consensus is that you always go for the asian 2836  since the ETA- 2835 is usually old or asian anyway.

so what about the Clone 3135? if the same watch is made in 2836 and rolex clone 3135 which should I go for?

and is the 2836 easily swappable with a genuine 2836? or a  Sellita ST2200?   or a ISA ISA 2331 / 103 Quartz  ??

the is the difference between clone 1:1 to bestest copy or best like gen. I have been looking at trusted dealers and cant find V2, v3...V7 or Grade A, A+, AA, AAA, superclone.

How do I figure all this out.

I'm looking to buy a 116300 blue DateJust 41 II with a smooth bezel. some are 199USD and others are 368USD. I cant find a difference Can someone please help me?

and how come my PW doesnt work on the Android App?

Thank you

Broadly speaking the higher the price the better the rep. A clone 2836 is directly swappable with the genuine ETA or any Swiss clone. The big issue is the 2836 places the crown too low on the case. It is up to you to decide if you can live with this.

If it were me, I would go with @tframo‘s advice and buy the 3135, then budget another hundred Bucks just in case it died and needed a modder to rebuild it.

The V numbers are versions, the A, AA etc is total BS and not worth listening to. Stop for a moment and consider who decides what is only AA and what is AAAAA plus, do you think there is a Chinese board of counterfeit goods that awards and enforces the standard? No of course you don’t ?

It is all very baffling at first. We know, we have all been there, but the more you read, you find it slowly starts to make sense

Oh and just to help out if you don’t already know

A3135 is described as a clone, but it is just an Asian 2836 with rather silly and pointless decoration plates that make it look slightly similar to a Rolex 3135, pointless, because it has a solid case back and anyone that knows enough to be opening the case back isn’t going to be fooled. I despise them

SH3135 is physically the same dimensions as the 3135, looks similar, same dial feet position, same hand size etc, but no interchange parts. Found in Noob watches, it was unreliable, but is now reported as much better

SA3135 clone of 3135 with the majority of parts interchangeable with genuine Rolex parts, but obviously not of the same quality or finish as Rolex parts, found in BP watches. Actually a BP would be worth considering for this model

Generally because of the conditions these watches are built in, the movements are dirty regardless of which movement is bought. Opinions vary, some immediately send a new watch for a service, others run to failure then get it serviced and repaired.

thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate it.

LOL @ Chinese board of counterfeit goods that awards and enforces the standard...that makes sense.

So now I understand that there is two 3135s, An A3135 thats actually a decorated Asian 2836 and a SA3135 is a Chinese exact clone of the ROLEX 3135.

The Asian 2836 is replaceable and swappable, but the Chinese SA3135 needs a Modder to fix.

From what I am reading on this forum and I emailed a couple trusted dealers and it seems like they have favored the 2836 but now the replies above sway me towards the SA3135 rolex clone not the decorated 2836.

it is better to contact trusted dealers from the forum on the forum first of just order from the website directly? I confirmed availability and stock with alot of them.

@Sogeha any reason to go with BP besides the crown placement? I couldnt tell any difference in crown placement between BP vs NOOB  unless the pictures on the dealers sites are not real.

Thank you @tframo @Sogeha

@Americany13 Any time buddy. TD’s are expected to use actual pictures of the watches they sell, but sometimes they use the same picture for the 2836 and clone versions.

If you are looking at TD sites, just post links up here and we will try to help you make sense of what you are seeing and make your own decision

This one is the odd one out, it has the true clone of the Rolex movement. All the others are Chinese 2836 with deco plates.

Honestly I think the factories make it as hard as possible to sort out which movement they are using. Why name them all so similarly otherwise.

There is nothing wrong with the Chinese 2836, other than the crown being slightly lower than gen. I personally dislike deco plates, especially as in order to fit them to some reps, they make the case deeper than gen. so for a bit of theatre behind a closed case back that isn’t going to fool anyone, they add a very obvious fault to the case. Mutter, mutter.

Having said all that, I wouldn’t refuse a watch simply because it had deco plates

That 3135 sells @ yuki for 280$ that's as much as a  new rep.

So when a 2836 craps out , I can grab a new one for 150$. Unless it needs modifying....

But what do you do when a 3135 craps out?  When the replacement is 280$.

Yuki says to service the 3135 before it is even set in the case.

Two last questions.....whats the difference between puretime and watchoutlet?  Same exact watch but 75 bucks cheaper? Same owner....should I just go with the expensive puretime to make sure I get a better watch?

So, I can't post QC pictures.....so how do I judge them? I can't tell a difference between a timex and a Casio let alone find flaws in a clone.

I really appreciate your help man.

Perfectclones just added an option for raw eta or raw 2836  no deco in the link you chose, I'll email him to ask about the factory of the case, Noob or BP or JF or AR.....not that Ill be able to tell the difference LOL

The movements are good and it’s the most gen like in appearance and function, if that’s what you are after

Thanks you I'll be going for that model

So it took 4 days for DHL to pick up from Hong Kong,  was told it was packed/ shipped Dec 1st, DHL pickedit up on the 4th , arrived today on the 7th.

+Site said new blue line, I'm seeing green.

+crown too high on dial

+impossible to screw crown in after I set the time....it took a while. Crown seems rough when I try to turn it.

I ordered the 2836 raw Asian,  but I couldn't open it.

The Rolex script on the inside, is the R supposed to be at every of  the indices?

The 5 min indice is a bit crooked. 20171207_170208.thumb.jpg.6a394f58ee49f40353711679a7eebb9e.jpg

It took me a while to understand what POS was meaning...

Ok... just stopped and no sign of life? Not even after a good wind?

It worked again after I tapped it on the palm of my hand a few times. Stops once a week even if I wind it. But starts back up as soon as I tap it . POS .....lol
