Danok
Hi guys, I recently bought a Breitling Chrono 44 replica but pretty much within a week I noticed the hands rubbing off each other between 4-6 and the Chrono hand started to catch here too. A day after that the hands we pushed off so that the Chrono resets to 7 and when it should be on the hour, the minutes hand is at about ten past the hour if that makes sense. However, every single shop Ive been into to get this repaired will not open the watch, so I cannot get it fixed. Never mind the cost of paying to get a brand new watch fixed within the first week but they wont even touch it for fear of not knowing what parts inside may break. So I am left now with a brand new replica which a premium rep price was paid for. Have you any advice on where in Ireland I may get this fixed or know of someone here that will even have a look? I have been in touch with who it was purchased from but they want me to pay for it to be posted back, risk of losing at customs on both ends and have informed me that the watch makes wont fix it until March. I am not looking for a free watch, but another solution to get this watch working. In my opinion, it should not have been sent out to me like this, and I believe this is not damage by shipping but poor craftsmanship. Appreciate any advice or contacts to get this fixed. kernow
Did you purchase it from a TD here? There are a few watchsmiths here but I don’t know of any in Ireland. Maybe @Sogeha can help suggest someone.
Danok
Yes they are a TD here. I dont want to mention any names because that is unfair, I just want to get the watch fixed without damaging anyones reputation, i understand sometimes watches scrape through QC now and then, it just happened to be my one. Thank you, maybe if there are any trusted rep watchsmiths in the uk I can have it posted to them? Thanks!
