Pic request: 3135 Crown Height vs ETA?

Anyone have a side shot of both? Is the difference noticeable enough to use the less reliable 3135 clone? Even a verbal (okay, textual) idea of the difference would be great. I'd rather use a tried and true ETA (I have a NOS 2824 sitting in the drawer here) as this watch is for a non-watch-nerd friend, but if people are going to be calling him out right and left, I'll do the 3135 clone. Oh, this would be a 16610.

Thoughts (other than "Crown height isn't your biggest issue - the abcdefghijklm......") I know it's not a perfect watch - just asking about crown height only.

The movement won't be the call-out with a closed caseback watch. With a 2824 you would likely need to use the H4 cannon pinion setup to get the hands to the right height. This of course assumes the case you are using is built for a 3135 or 2824 to begin with.

Your other option would be to use the sh3135, which given a proper service would be more reliable than the "clone" 3135.

The 2124 and 3135 have the same stem height. If your case is for a 2824, the 3135 stem height will be the same.

I agree with tomhorn.

Thanks guys. I’m realizing that the question may be irrelevant anyway; is the latest JF 16610 even offered with anything but an SH3135?

As far as I know, the JF 16610 is only offered with the SH3135. The 2824 is not even an option, although it does sound like it should for just fine stem height wise.
