SuperDanX
Hi guys, what are the available options for a 19mm braclet to fit a cartel Daytona? I’ve recently acquired a very nice modded 6239 from @sputim which came with a leather strap. I’d like a bracelet so as far as I’m aware my options would be: Gen with cartel endlinks, a rafflestime oyster or rivet or a yukiwatch oyster. Is there any other options I’m missing? Period correct would be a folded link band, (although I’d prefer a later oyster band) but I’m also considering a rivet band which I like the look of even if not strictly period correct for a late sixties 6239. Any advice on the best option would be appreciated. Thanks. Edited February 18, 2018 by SuperDanX
tomhorn
The gen 7835's aren't that much money if you shop around. That's what I did for my DW cased 6263 (just looked through my notes, can't believe I only paid $180 back then). Seems like nobody wants the 19mm bands ... I bought one of Mary's 7836's which was great for the money. Not sure if she has a 7835, but you might want to check.
SuperDanX
Thanks, I’ll probably wear it a strap for a while and save for a gen, maybe having a bid seems to be the way to go as buy now prices are a bit silly as usual.
alligoat
I'm thinking that the rafflesdials rivet would be period correct for a 6239 http://rafflesdials.com/signed-solid-stainless-steel-19mm-vintage-rivet-style-quality-watch-band-bracelet-strap-for-vintage-34mm-rolex-watch-case/ DW used to sell a 78350 with 571 ends for his old Daytonas- too bad we can't find those anymore- you'd think some one would be still making them over in China!
