Worst case is that you buy a current version, and find out in two weeks that its been phased out and replaced buy something maybe in all regards better. Id be kind of mad if this happenend to me personally... So by giving the heads-up you have the option to wait and see, maybe delay your purchase untill the new PAM arrives.
