MBW Bezel inset

I've got a rather battered Mk 1 MBW 1665 and I'm going to replace the bezel insert and fit a Yuki pearl. Anybody got any recommendations for a reasonable insert? Hopefully something that snaps straight in. Cheers chaps.

I'd recommend the Yuki's insert. It is one of the best aftermarket options nowadays

The problem with the Yuki insert is it doesn't come with a pearl. And the website says the $49 pearl they used to have has ceased production. Now you could buy an Ofrei pearl, maybe around $25 but the shipping might cost you.

I've used it on my 5508 twice now- unfortunately those pearls are subject to being knocked off, but I prefer an insert with a pearl.

You can pick up a pearl from Athaya for $10. You’ll need to remove a little surplus plastic though. The new pearls Yuki has aren’t as good as they used to be unfortunately and are frankly overpriced.

A dab of glue on the inside of the bezel insert will ensure they don’t get knocked out that easily.

as above, i also recommend the athaya pearl pip

however, the athaya pip comes un-lumed. You can 'colour' the pip easily instead with a needle and a felt tip marker. I extracted ink from the felt tip marker by poking a needle into the tip of the felt tip marker, then i coloured the pip with the needle. It's a very macgyver / ghetto method, but it gets the job done HAHA.
