bklm1234
I just bought a watch with WU. The WU fee from California to Thailand is $34 (previously I thought it went from $14 to $34 but $14 is for going to China which hasn't changed). leatherback
It has been like that for at least 6 weeks where I am at. PLUS, it isn't just a straight scale either. Mine last 4 have ranged between $32 and $40 and I have NO idea what makes one time more expensive than another as the most expensive transfer was for the least amoutnof money. pubus
they smell business here so they put up their fees damn bastards. Once I was about to sen 70Ł (yes, that little) to UK bay seller for a snoooker cue. WU told me they want 15Ł on fees. That was crazy. I would rather shoot myself in my forehead than pay by WU. crystalcranium
Std $25 for every transfer I've done from outside Philadelphia PA USA. I think that's way too much but I guess security is an expensive issue.
dadog13
I know it's time for me to get a credit card...but then i would spend even more $$$ than now!

bklm1234
I've sent as much as $500 for $14 from California (to China) in February. The dealer takes MoneyBooker too but it allows less than $350 upload per 60 days with credit cards (not enough to pay for the watch) and bank transfer requires a wiring fee (at least initial verification?) which is around $45 at my bank, I think. - Bert Edited April 18, 2007 by bklm1234

section8
It limits me a bit on the dealers I can use, but i've stopped using WU because of the fees, and also the fact that my bank will not allow me to use them online because of possible credit card fraud issues. bklm1234
I just checked, from California to China is still $14 (even for $500 but don't know if $500 is the cutoff for a higher fee). So my bad, maybe it's always that much, $34 for $350 from California to Thailand. That sucks. - Bert
KB
Every time someone buys one of my items I have to add $28 in WU fee's to the final price so I assure you my margins are not big. Ken

Same here. In addition to the high fees, the limit on the amount you can send per month is quite low (at least here in Norway). Futhermore I don't like to be interviewed like a criminal for each transaction before they can 'approve' it. But what really [censored] me off was that some accounting dept. in Switzerland wants a copy of my passport in order to be authorized to do more transactions via WU (due to new legislation I was told). sssurfer
I used WU to buy my first rep, from a scam site. The watch costed 120 USD, and I ended up by paying about 35$ more to WU. That came from WU direct fees, plus currency exchanges -- that WU applied quite liberally (to their own benefit). I would rather quit buying items on the net (or elsewhere) than pay by WU. Ken Wow ken that really sucks; it would be nice if they would let you do a once-a-month transfer or some sort of cheaper bank wire.
Rxus
Every dealer should take credit cards. and use rechargeable cards or those one time card numbers from your banks..Like those posts that were around a few weeks ago. In my opinion there is no safer, cheaper way to pay for any item anywere around the world.
