i feel like i see a bunch of wrist shots where people wear their watches all the way down at the bottom of their wrist, which generally results in the crown (or crown guard in the case of pams) jamming into the back of your hand. personally, i've never understood why people wear their watches like this -- it seems so uncomfortable.

so i figured i'd start a poll to see where people here on RWG wear their watches on their wrists; i also figured i would include a poll about how how tight people wear their watches given it is a related topic.

here are a couple pictures to demonstrate what i'm talking about....

at the bottom of the wrist:

further up the arm (man my wrist looks pale -- good thing summer is here):

ps, thanks to cableguy for his wrist shot as an example (@cableguy, PM me if you'd like me to change it)....

I think it depends upon the shape and size of your wrist, and the watch.

Some people have wrists that are the thinnest at the end of their wrist,

some like me have this thinner area higher up, and it seems that this

area is where the watch will eventually settle.

As for the fit of the band... I prefer it to give me a bit of room, but not

to where it moves around like a piece of jewerly.

I like to wear my watches quite loose. Not so loose as to completely 360 around my wrist, but certainly loose enough to put a couple of fingers between the bracelet/strap. As a result, they tend to naturally sit at the bottom of my wrist. The only watch I found uncomfortable like this, was my 42mm Planet Ocean, on the Stainless Steel Bracelet, when it came back from having the crown repaired. Before it went away, I didn't find it at all uncomfortable, but, in the week or so before it actually came back to me, I'd been wearing my 2531.80 project watch on the rubber strap, so had gotten used to how that felt, and when the PO came back, I was very aware of the SS links against the edges of my hand. Not truly uncomfortable, but enough to be noticeable and hard to ignore. Once I put the PO on the rubber strap, it was so comfortable, it was like I wasn't wearing a watch at all :thumbsupsmileyanim: Can't wait to get my 45mm PO through, as that will be my 'daily beater', and when my SMP comes back from being repaired (new movement installed and waterproofed) that will be my 'smart' watch :)

its cool you are using the pic :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Its actually quite loose, it doesnt really dig in like that picture looks like. I wear them more like a bracelet, but it can't do 360's I'd say about a 1/2 to 1 link longer then needed to be snug.

I've voted but I'll explain as well.

I like my watch a little higher up my wrist but I also like it slightly loose so it's always sliding down to the bottom. Constantly find myself lifting my hand vertically so it slides back up. I guess that would be irritating for some but it's like second nature now.

I don't like my watch to do a 360 but, as I said, I like it a bit loose - about enough for me to get one finger beneath the band.

The good thing about having my watch sit higher up on my wrist (I guess technically at a point on my forearm) is that I can type at a computer like I am now and not have it bang on the keyboard/laptop.
