Genuine Sub 1680 movement

hello, the sub 1680 is an old watch from 70's & the RoLex movements at that time were with 19.500 bph

The replicas have ETA 2836 with 28.800 bph.....

So i think this is considered another ''flaw'' ?

Which is exactly why so many people replace that movement with a 2846 (21,600 bph) or some other slower movement. There are numerous reviews & tutorials on the subject by way of the Search feature.

I for my part equipped all my vintages with ETA 2789 movements after I changed the seconds wheels, add another click wheel....

Repaustria -- Can you go into more detail as to what you did here?

What did you change the seconds wheel to and where/why did you install another click wheel?

Sounds like a gen movement for 850$ is the best solution!!! Will this fit?

The best solution will depend on your objectives:

If you want your watch to appear genuine when casually observed on your wrist, by people who may include vintage Rolex experts, then the 2846 is probably sufficient.

If you want to be able to take your watch off, hand it to a vintage Rolex expert (expecting him to wind it, and advance the date), then Repaustria seems to have the best solution.

...it just depend on who you're trying to fool.

(Of course, you can always use a genuine movement....)

So the 2846 is probably the best solution for the average replica collector, as it is the most available, and practical, and the change in beat speed is the most evident benefit.

However, if your area of interest involves modification of movements, then Repaustria's solution might interest you.

Or you can take an old AS Movement 1903,than you have the Date rotating in the right direction to fit aGen silver datewheel.

Its a 21000Bph Movement no Quickset at the date....
