By-Tor Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 We just recently changed our forum display format in another board (music related board) because we eventually got sick to the old format... where avatars are displayed on left of the messages. This format screws up the word wrapping when someone uploads a bigger image... and members endlessly need to scroll the messages to the right in order to read the message properly. Of course this is bigger problem for people who use lower resolution display settings like 1024x768. TRC uses the avatars on top of the messages and it allows use of much larger (wider) images. Wonder how big task it would be to adopt to RWG as well. Of course you'll run into similar problems if you use grossly oversized pictures but the display format used in TRC is much better and reduces the problem a lot. Just a suggestion. Avatar on the left is easier to read... might just be something i've gotten used to. I like the idea of the IMG code sizing down large pix...
