OK, The world of reps is forever changing...like technology, foreign policy, etc. Now this is just a thought, but what if...what if there was a sort of KBB put together for our reps. A standard of reps, new and used, that was presented so all could be informed and educated...members/traders/buyers/etc. For those of you who are NON-USA (not sure if kbb is outside of the states) Kelly Blue Book, KBB, is the standard for which the resale value (worth) of cars are determined. I really think this would be a success in the world of which we live. First you select the make, then the model, then the options...Just a way for all to keep up. Any opinions, supporters, critics??? Is this stupid...or an idea crazy enough, it just might work?

Not practical unfortunately, by the time it was compiled it would already be obsolete.

We sort of have it with Richard Browns- Replica Watch Report

http://www.replicawatchreport.com/articles...ruary-2006.html

Richard does a fabulous job keeping us all up to date ( as much as is humanly possible), but with the idiosyncracies of the rep assemblers, and the fact that one assembler may source parts from different suppliers- the final product can be just about anything.

Trying to then place a value on it would be nye on impossible. A wonderful sentiment- and thought- not feasible however!

I agree with KB and say that, I too, must KB the KBB.

Very difficult to maintain. Who would assess the standard for a start? Would there be a K of KBB? (King of KBB)

Appeals process? Etc. etc.

I guess I'm mainly referring to used/preowned watches. And you guys brought up some good points, how would the standard be decided and WHO would be the decider. With enough thought, I think something could be put together though. Like a watch review section with sub categories breaking down into make, model, edition. There could be a sort of value range...the information would be imput via a template so all reviews would follow the same format???
