Resuscitation time again...

EL's ad in Dealer Section says his papers for the PAM127 is copied from his original, which would explain the correct spelling.

As for a picture of a genuine, a RWG2 member has recently bought a PAM091 and this was his scan of his guarantee card:

This came from his topic I Stole My First Genuine Panerai.

Hope that helps you sssurfer!

I ordered the box set from Precious Time (PT).

It also has the wrong spelling on the card.

But to be honest..... WHO CARES??? IMHO the box with rubber strap,

screwdriver and bezel protector alone is WELL WORTH the money.

So I don´t give a F... about that wrong spelling.

I only wanted some paperwork as an addition for taking some nice pictures.

That´s all.

And after all, I can´t say I didn´t know before. Because it´s easy to

see on his pics in the dealers section that there´s a "D" instead of the "C" on the card.

Hey take it easy, I don't care about the paperwork too much either, but it's always nice.

This was a thread started by sssurfer, and I can understand why it would bother an Italian speaker.

If it said PENERAI on the dial, wouldn't thought bother you?

Everyone has their little bugbears with reps, and sometimes it's just about pointing out their flaws.

Anyone know where to get just the bezel protector?

Homer used to sell those on ebay for £4.99, might be worth a check.

I have a set of papers too but I'll take everyone's word for it ;) If someone would come up with some better quality papers I might go for it (well if you can, I could use a degree with a first too ;)) but as it stands it does not really bother me though I can imagine it bugging the hell out of ssurfer as its language.

I was just saying it's probably more important for sssurfer as his first language is Italian. I know if I had something that said "CERDIFICATE" in English, it may bother me.

Reviving this because of some new info.

There is another card that can be found around:

On a first look it looks correct -- but -- can you spot where it is uncorrect?

Look at the rightmost word. It spells 'PANERIA' instead of 'PANERAI'.

Ugh, so another giveout!

But -- wait a moment. What if I cut out part of the border?

Here is the result:

Does it look familiar?

Yes, it is suspiciously similar to those three cards that could have been genuine:

So... buyer beware!

Good idea cutting it out but then again there is still a Paneria in line - check it out! :)

Wow, that's true!

Thanks for pointing it out.

Not an isolated incident...

I personally find some of these misspellings quite amusing! Reading through the Mont Blanc pamphlet in French is quite amusing if you know the language...

I also bought an Armani suit where the hang tang read "COLUR"

These things make me chuckle...
